The Access Copyright Foundation Announces the 2010 Event Grant Recipients.

The Access Copyright Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the Foundation’s first set of Event Grants.

• Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild (2010 AGM/Conference – Jet Streams: The Winds of Change)
• Small Halls, Inc. (PEI Festival of Small Halls)
• Storytelling Toronto (Toronto Storytelling Festival)
• The Vicious Circle (Whistler Readers and Writers Festival 2010 and Writer in Residence Program 2010)
• Writers Guild of Alberta (WGA 2011 Conference – WRITING THE (HI)STORY)

These events embody many of the aims of the Foundation’s Event Grant program, including promoting Canadian culture in the arts and showcasing Canadian creativity. They will help ensure that the program makes a modest yet important contribution to the dissemination of Canadian culture.

We would also like to thank all the organizations who applied for an Event Grant this fall. We appreciate the enthusiasm and high interest shown in the Access Copyright Foundation.

This year’s applications were evaluated by a three‐person jury consisting of freelance writer and author Doreen Pendgracs, visual artist Mark Bovey and publisher Kirk Howard.
